How are you today?
So, a quick recap. The last time I wrote, I told you how I was basically living a highly dissatisfying life. Well this week, I write to tell you the steps I took to turn the tides around.
Apart from moving closer to work which did not happen until a year after, I decided to start making deliberate efforts to enjoy my life and doing things I love which was majorly reading and writing.
I got soft copies of books to read when I am on the bus and stuck in traffic.
I got audio books to listen to when I am driving.
I also decided to write about anything and everything that caught my fancy. It was as random as a fight between a passenger and the conductor or something way deeper like coping with anxiety. I also experimented with new writing styles.
I then used my WhatsApp status as my audience, a funny story here, a short story there and the feedback I got made me happy while also spurring me to do better. Little by little, my mental health improved and I could finally slow down long enough to smell the roses.
All I am saying is, life is meant to be lived intentionally and only you can determine your response to all the curve balls life throws at you. What do you enjoy doing? Even if it is shopping and you don’t have a large sum of money to splurge, buy an item once a month and make yourself happy.

I enjoyed reading your post and I’m glad you proactively took steps to make your life more satisfying. Personally, I find nature photography and surfing online for new songs as a way to relax during my weekends. Thanks for sharing your story, Bisi. I look forward to the next one😊😊 !!!
